A lot of people have asked me what the difference is between Fully Refined Emu Oil and Triple Refined Emu Oil. I made this answer in the hopes that this will make it easy for people to understand the different types of Emu Oil. Your comments, add-on information and suggestions are more than welcome. =) - Trish Gonzales
THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FULLY-REFINED EMU OIL and ULTRA CLEAR EMU OIL (Triple-Refined Emu Oil):
EMU OIL is opaque white and is FULLY REFINED emu oil. It is commonly used for skin care and for treating problem skin conditions like scars and wounds of all kinds. If you are looking for a multi-purpose emu oil then this is the best choice for you. You can use this when you want the healthy skin nourishing benefits of emu oil. It has a rich, cream consistency, and it is an odor free and non-greasy oil.
Meanwhile, ULTRA CLEAR EMU OIL is the most potent type of emu oil available because it has been specially refined to produce a light weight, quick absorbing, clear oil with enhanced anti-inflammatory benefits. It will penetrate better than other forms of emu oil on areas where the skin is thick and hard to penetrate, such as on the palms of the hands or the soles of the feet. It is a good choice for treating conditions where inflammation is the problem, and it is preferred to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles on the face and neck. Ultra Clear Emu oil is TRIPLE-REFINED, which means that there is an additional refining step which removes the heavier fractions of emu oil resulting in an oil that remains clear at normal room temperature. That’s why this emu oil is an odor-free, non-greasy oil with liquid consistency.
So suffice to say, both emu oils are effective, though ULTRA CLEAR EMU OIL ABSORBS FASTER AND IS PREFERRED FOR ITS SUPERIOR ANTI-INFLAMMATORY BENEFITS AND AS AN ANTI-AGING TREATMENT.
